No matter how appealing Apple’s custom iOS firmwares are, one thing they are always limited to is their inability to let users access root files. In simple words, like any other operating system, iOS doesn’t let you browse through it’s system files, which means you cannot edit, modify or remove any file. This also means that you will not be able to add/remove media files to your iPhone without connecting it to iTunes. Not any more. That’s right. Once you download iFile for iPhone you can simply browse through any root file, within seconds.

iFile is an iPhone file explorer, and one of the oldest jailbreak tweaks that has been launched, and one of the most efficient ones too. Not only it lets users access files on their devices, it also lets you export the files, or import some files using inbuilt WiFi server. You heard it right. No more hassles of connecting your iPhone to your computer using data cables. You can simply establish Bluetooth or WiFi server on your iPhone, and start adding files instantly.

The WiFi server will only work when your iPhone as well as your computer are connected to the same WiFi network.

Here’s a brief summary of things you will be capable of doing once you install iFile on your iPhone.

1. Install packages: In case you have application file downloaded on your iPhone in DEB format, you can simply install it using iFile’s native package installer.

2. Edit/Add/Remove Files: Simply head over to a file, tap on it and click on edit to edit it. Or select the file and click on bin icon in the lower navigation menu to delete it.

3. Transfer Files: As discussed above, simply create WiFi or Bluetooth servers to transfer files between your computer and iPhone. If you do not already have bluetooth on your iPhone you can read our guide on how to install bluetooth on iPhone 5s.
