Are you one of those iDevice users who love to load their devices with music? If yes, you would already be aware of the music controls iOS 7 brings within its lock screen as well as the native Control Center. While some may find these controls a bit handy and useful at times, there are others like us who find them infuriating and annoying. We wish there was a kill switch for such controls within the default Settings app on our iPhones, iPads or iPod Touch. That way, not only could we get rid of tiny music control buttons from the device lock screen, but also get more room for the cover picture or the album art for the song that is playing currently.

Seems like our beloved jailbreak community feels the same pain as many iOS 7 users do. HideLSMusicControls, is an all new jailbreak tweak for iOS 7 that lets you hide music controls from the lock screen of your iOS 7 powered device. That’s right. You can simply navigate to the Settings application, and toggle the kill switch to ON in order to hide music controls. Here’s how to get HideLSMusicControls tweak on your iOS 7 powered iDevice.

NOTE: Kindly note that this tweak requires a jailbroken iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. In case you haven’t jailbroken your iDevice, you can follow our step by step tutorial below.

Step 1: First of all, navigate to the default Cydia application from your device’s springboard and tap it to launch it. For those who don’t know, Cydia gets installed on your device when you jailbreak it, and you should be able to find it in the springboard unless and until you have hidden that app . Next, tap Search button from the bottom navigation menu to search for HideLSMusicControls tweak.

Step 3: Once installed, simply navigate to Settings->HideLSMusicControls where you will find a kill switch as seen in the screenshot below. Turn it to ON in order to hide music controls from your device’s lock screen.
