How To Change The Font On Your iPhone With BytaFont 2 Jailbreak Tweak

One of the things which remain constant from the earliest of iPhone in 2007 to the latest iPhone 5S is the default font Apple offers, that too without the ability to make any changes to it. That sounds depressing, and boring for many iDevice lovers including us. While you cannot make any changes to your iDevice font without jailbreaking, once you jailbreak your iDevice, it opens a plethora of new customizations and tweaks, delivered to you right under one brilliant Cydia application.

BytaFont 2, the successor of good old BytaFont, as the name suggests delivers the capability to change your default iDevice font. The amazing part about this tweak is that you get to choose from a variety of fonts, like Arabia and Disney. Plus, you can switch to a different font by downloading it, every time you want some change. Apart from fonts, BytaFont 2 also let’s you download a number of really cool themes and icon packaged for your iDevice. If you are wondering how to change the font on your iPhone, simply follow the easy tutorial below.

Steps Involved in How To Change The Font On Your iPhone

NOTE: You will need a jailbroken iDevice to be able to use this tweak. Kindly note that jailbreaking can void your device’s manufacturers warranty and will make it immune to OTA updates coming from Apple. In case you want to jailbreak your iDevice, simply follow the tutorial below. Make sure to take a complete backup of your iDevice before proceeding, either on iCloud or iTunes.

Step 1: Navigate to default Cydia application, head over to the Search button, and type BytaFont 2 to select it from the results. The tweak is free to download, and should be available under the ModMyi repo, pre-installed on your iDevice from the time of jailbreaking it.

Step 2: Once you have successfully installed BytaFont 2 on your iDevice, you can find the app right on your device springboard. Now, installing a font is totally a different process. Here’s how to change the font on your iPhone and install a font of your choice using BytaFont 2.

How To Install Fonts Using BytaFont 2

Step 1: Launch the BytaFont2 application right from your device springboard. Now, navigate to Browse Fonts button on the lower navigation menu, and select the font of your choice.

Step 2: Once you select the font you would love to download and install on your iDevice, simply tap over it, and on the bottom of the page you will see a download button. Tap on Download to download that particular font instantly.

Step 3: Once you tap the Download button, you will be taken to the Cydia package of that font. Simply install that font by clicking on the Install button to download it. Now, you have downloaded the font, and you are just moments away from learning how to change the font on your iPhone. Close Cydia, and navigate to BytaFont 2 application again to activated your downloade font. It should be available under the Basic tap in the lower navigation menu, as shown in image below.

Select your favorite font, and your iDevice should re-spring. Once it does, you will be welcomed with a brand new font installed on your iDevice. For instance, we installed the Disney font on our iPod Touch, as seen in the screenshot below.


Further, if any-time you wish to go back to the default iOS faunt, you can simply navigate to the BytaFont 2 application, and then tap on Restore BytaFont Backup button as seen in the official image provided by iPhonerulers (Developers of BytaFont 2) below.
